Last week, Robert Pigott, Alex Medler and Mark Kirby attended the Sea Works exhibition in Southampton. Here's what Rob thought...
"Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Sea Works exhibition in Southampton. I was not sure what to expect but we were amazed with what we saw. This was our first time attending Sea Works and the trip was a result of our growing customer base in the commercial maritime sector. I was especially proud to see PurpleSector prominently exhibiting the data logging solution we had worked on.
In only this past 12 months Peregrine has under taken projects for the E1 Series and PurpleSector. For E1, we have produced custom flight cases that protect their hugely efficient hydrofoils during travels around the globe. We've worked with PurpleSector to produce designs for a data logging solution for their advanced maritime decarbonisation project.
At Sea Works, we made our way around the stands and found a fantastic selection of products, components and solutions. From the array of impressive engine builders, electronic systems for ship telematics and control, and the growth in hybrid and electric drive. The takeaway for me; maritime engineering is surely another hidden gem in the UK design and UK Manufacturing sector."
Check back next week to hear more about the data logging solution we created for Purple Sector!
