Exciting News: Robert Pigott Joins Peregrine as Engineering Director!

We are constantly striving to promote and expand Peregrine’s business as a valued and trusted product supplier to top-tier customer in sectors from avionics to automotive. So it goes without saying that we are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Pigott as Engineering Director for the business.

Having previously spent a decade at McLaren Electronics Systems, delivering electronics and control software to a variety of motorsport and automotive customers, Rob brings a strong back-ground in hands-on science and engineering. He previously held the position of leading software engineer on the F1 standard ECU (used by all teams) and also led the development team responsible for the control platform used in the newest generation hybrid powertrains, still used in F1 today.

Rob’s recent career featured in the Industrial and Utility sectors; managing engineering teams to develop connected sensors and loT products for large-scale projects, supporting infrastructure projects both in the UK and Internationally. His degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, alongside a short stint in the defence sector, has aided his success.

With a wealth of experience in business management, Rob also brings expertise, not only in taking products from ideation through to deployment (shipping tens of thousands of units annually) but also creating products, which have won multiple design and innovation awards.

We've no doubt that Rob's top expertise will benefit all of our existing and future customers and we look forward to working alongside him!

Managing Director, Christopher Reid added "Peregrine's evolution over the past three years now allows us to attract high-calibre talent. Rob is devoted to British engineering excellence, just as we are. With him leading our engineering efforts, we are looking forward to accomplishing great things!”
