About the Role

Responsible for cost calculations to determine all costs associated with providing products and services to our clients. Achieved by identifying labour, material, and time requirements. Calculates costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements. Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analysing information. Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.

Accountabilities

• Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors within a specified time frame.
• Assessing the risk levels associated with a project or product.
• Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs.
• Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers.
• Chair weekly meeting.
• Evaluate and report on KPIs.
• Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
• Always sourcing the most economical costs.
• Sourcing environmentally friendly solutions.
• Administration of the ERP system.
• Supplier relations.
• Create and maintain business process documents to conform with Quality Management system.
• Data responsibilities, including GDPR.
• Take initiatives in identifying operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with our team to achieve sustainable growth.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet or estimating software.
• The ability to read technical drawings and develop cost estimates.
• The ability to manage time well and multitask.
• Attention to detail.
• ERP/MRP experience required.
• Good understanding and experience of supply chain activities.
• Strong motivated mindset with a proven track record of managing day to day responsibilities.
• A strong analytic skill set with the ability to interpret data.
• Be able to work to strict deadlines.
• General understanding of industry standards and regulations in order to ensure guidelines are followed.
• Strong PC skills.
• Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvements.
• Good understanding of working in similar high technology environment.
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
